Happy New Year Dolls! Can you believe that 2017 has actually begun? While 2016 was pretty crazy, I really enjoyed the last couple of weeks of the year spending time with family. We spent the holidays laughing, shopping, and eating and drinking way too much. It’s been fantastic!
If you follow me on Instagram then you might have seen my story spending New Year’s Day getting a massage and relaxing at the One Ocean Spa, overlooking Atlantic Beach. It was so relaxing and serene! P.S. If you don’t follow me on Instagram, then head over to my page because I share exclusive content via my page and Instagram stories. Check it out HERE!
Between spending time with family and visiting the beach, I’ve been hitting my old stomping grounds around Jacksonville. I actually showed Jason the old surf shop where I worked in high school, which is unfortunately going out of business now. I made sure to pick up some stickers and surf T’s to remember the good ol’ days. Besides the surf shop, we visited my favorite art museum, and my favorite neighborhood in the city. Little 5 points is a young and energetic area that feels a little artsy, edgy, and has the cutest stores, bars, and restaurants. There is actually an old movie theater which was once a venue where I went to my first concert. Oh the memories! We thought the neighborhood was the perfect place to capture my outfit of the day and snap some photos in the sunshine. For our afternoon exploring the city, I wore some casual, dark jeans from H&M. I actually got these on sale for $7. What a steal! I paired my jeans with a navy pinstriped blouse from Zara. I’m absolutely obsessed with the flared sleeves! I finished my look with my new taupe Saint Laurent bag (more on this to come), and my go-to spiked Louboutins. I felt a little bit classy, a little bit rock and roll. And in my world, I think that’s a perfect combination!
Hope y’all had an amazing start to 2017 and stay tuned for more posts coming soon!.

Can you believe that 2017 is right around the corner? But before we ring in the new year, we have one more night of fabulous 2016 fashion… New Year’s Eve! I have to say, some years I simply want to sit on the couch and watch the ball drop with an order of Chinese food. But this year, I’m ready to get glammed up and hit the town!
1. Topshop Stud Ruffle Lace Dress. A little black dress that’s fun and flirty, this hot number from Topshop is sure to turn heads! I love the studded detail that brings a bit of edge to the classic silhouette and lace overlay. Plus, at this price, it’s the perfect party dress!
2. Topshop Disc Sequin Midi Dress. Another Topshop pick, you’re sure to make an entrance in this disco-inspired midi dress. In a heavily embellished sequin gold, it comes with an all-over large disc design. Featuring a high neck and subtle straps, it sexes things up with a slit up the front!
3. Mischa Collection Larrisa Blazer Dress. This dress reminds me of an 80’s power-suit, and with the color…you’ll look white hot! I love the tuxedo look with the dramatic sleeves. In a sea of black and metallics on New Years Eve, you’ll be sure to stand out.
4. Laundry by Shelli Segal Ruched Velvet Sheath Dress. A velvety on-trend take on the little black dress. This dress will hug every curve, but also be comfortable for a night of dancing! Plus, this is simple enough that you can wear this to another event!
5. Michelle Mason Cami Wrap Mini Dress. The coppery-champagne color of this satin mini wrap dress is to die for! Pair it with nude strappy heels for a show-stopping look!
6. Alice + Olivia Beaded Bodice Strapless Jumpsuit. I’m all about the jumpsuits these days, and this is the perfect one for painting the town red. Simple in its silhouette, it brings the drama with glistening beads on the embellished bodice. Plus, with the cropped trouser legs, this jumpsuit will keep your legs warm but still show off those party heels!
And there you have it…my roundup of 2016 New Year’s ensembles! Do you dolls have any special plans for ringing in the new year? Let me know in the comments below!

For me, the holidays means spending time at home cuddled on the couch with family and friends. And things I love to make my home feel extra cozy usually include fresh-cut flowers and lots of candles! I think it just creates such an ambiance to have the lights down low and the faint flicker of candlelight to give the room a warm glow. Not to mention the lovely scents that can fill your home and truly bring this festive season to life. I associate the holidays with a variety of lovely aromas, including amber, pine, and cinnamon. And since I’m such a candle freak, I thought I’d share my favorite picks for scents of the season!
1. Molton Brown. Molton Brown is one of my favorite home and bath brands. This luxurious black-peppercorn candle has a spicy scent with notes of amber, ginger, and bergamot. Plus, I love the color of the hand blown glass container!
2. Diptyque. The first of the amber candles on my list! Diptyque’s Amber is a warm and elegant scent that you’d come to expect from the king of candle brands. While I usually go for the Baies scent, Ambre is perfect for this season!
3. Maison Martin Margiela. I’ve wanted this fragrance for a while now, so I when I saw the candle version, I was instantly intrigued. This particular scent by Margiela aims to immortalize the masculine and exhilarating ambiance of a Brooklyn jazz club. The balmy base scent of musk, vanilla, tonka bean, vetiver, and tobacco leaves combine to evoke a sensual experience. I might still have to get that fragrance!
4. Voluspa. This one is burning in my house right now! Voluspa is one of my candle go-to’s, offering a wide range of exotic scents and beautifully colored holders. Baltic Amber features the bold notes of amber resin, sandalwood and vanilla orchid and will fill your home with a warm and inviting scent.
5. Volcano. Now my go-to, fail-safe, tried and true candle is the Capri Blue Volcano candle. If you’re ever been in an Anthropologie, then you know this candle’s heavenly scent. It has an exotic and slightly tropical aroma, but it isn’t overpowering or inappropriate for colder months. For this season, I opt for the red jar instead of the classic blue.
6. NEST. Last but not least is the candle that reigns supreme this season, aptly named “Holiday” by NEST. Holiday captures the aroma of a sparkling holiday season by blending pomegranate, mandarin orange, pine, cloves and cinnamon with a hint of vanilla and amber.
And there you have it…my picks for a scented and sensual holiday season. Curl up at home, light one of the candles off this list, and let it burn baby burn!
I hope everyone has an amazing holiday and I’ll catch y’all next week just in time for New Years! Xoxo
