Sun, Sand, and Citrus. That’s what Florida is known for, right? Well that was certainly true on my recent impromptu trip home to Jacksonville. My parents were planning on coming up for the weekend, but ended up cancelling, so Jason and I went to them instead! We went back and forth on doing the drive, but ultimately decided that east access to Florida was one of the reasons we left New York in the first place.

Yes, the drive got annoying after about 2 hours, but we were so happy we took the plunge. The thought of sunshine and family time brings a smile to my face even as write this now! While we were there we took it easy, hit the pool, and went to some of my favorite spots growing up. We kept it very low-key and also ran some errands. And just because I’m running around town, it doesn’t mean that style goes out the window. I firmly believe that some of the cutest outfits are casual and effortless looks.

Being in Florida, I ditched my blue denim jeans and went for a bright white! I threw on a chunky oversized sweater that kept me warm when the evening breeze rolled in. But my favorite thing about my casual look are my new orange espadrilles by Patricia green. The color is the prettiest vibrant shade, that still goes with every other color of the rainbow. While I opted for a more nautical look, I’ve already worn them with bright dresses and blue denim alike. And don’t get me started on the comfort. After wearing these a couple of times, I’ve already put in an order for another pair in navy! Stay tuned for how I style those!

Sweater: Theory (Sold Out).  White Denim: Rachel Comey (Similar for $34.99!).  Espadrilles: Patricia Green & Patricia Green.
