Being from Florida, I have an innate obsession with sunglasses….or at least that’s what I say to justify my ever-growing collection. I think sunglasses are the perfect finishing touch to an outfit and can be that little something extra that makes you feel movie star fabulous.

When picking new sunglasses, I go for functional and stylish. My collection ranges from classic shapes like a Chanel wayfarer or Ray-ban aviator, to more wild styles like my mirrored Dior sunnies or dramatic cat-eyes (also Dior).

Whatever the outfit, I feel like I have a great variety of glasses to help complement my look. And in honor of my trip to Florida this Memorial Day, here are some of my favorite pairs. Enjoy the holiday weekend y’all!

Chanel: #5182 (Black) & #5263 (Blue).  Dior: Abstract & Mohotani. Ray-Ban: Classic Aviator.

I always say that I prefer dresses to pants, but in recent years they’ve become an essential part of my wardrobe. I have a couple pairs that I wear over and over again, and take me from work to weekend. Here are my favorites and stapes for any girl’s closet:

1. Classic Dark Jeans– These days I prefer high-rise that elongate my legs and can be dressed up or down.

2. Ripped Jeans– quite possibly my favorite. I wear these with platform sneakers for a casual, cool look or statement heels for an outfit that is laid back, but surprisingly sophisticated.

3. White Jeans– a must for summer! Obviously white jeans look sexy with a strappy top for the summer months. But I also wear mine during transitional times with an oatmeal or black sweater and pumps.

4. Black Trousers– last but not least are a pair of chic black trousers. Great to pair with t-shirts and heels or a blouse and blazer for a sleek suit look.

In my post from last week, I mentioned that lipstick is one of my favorite ways to switch up an outfit. A swipe of a different color can change the vibe of a look and take you from work-friendly to party ready! While I mostly stick with pinkish nudes (MAC’s “Spirit” is my go-to), I’ve recently been branching out to include other shades like flame red, deep plum, shocking pink, and caramel nude. Here are my favorites that keep my lip game on point!

1. MAC “Spirit.  2. Nars “Overheated”.  3. Stila “Beso”.  4. Tom Ford “Casablanca”.  5. Nars “Instant Crash”.  6. Chanel “La Sensuelle”.  7. Giorgio Armani “#402”.  8. Nars “Schiap”.
