Some dresses just speak to you…and this one had my name all over it. I love to wear white in the Summer and I felt the ethereal dress was so different than anything else I had in my closet.

Maxi dresses are easy to throw on, look put together, and are easy-breezy in the Summer heat. With this dramatic square neckline, voluminous sleeves, fine eyelet detail – the dress looks straight out of a fairy tale. Also with ties around the waist and sleeves than can be pushed down off the shoulder – I feel I can switch up how I wear it for a different effect.

As soon as I got the dress, I knew it would be prime for a Summer evening out in the Hamptons. I felt the look was perfect for a night at Wölffer vineyard with my girlfriends, sipping rosé and enjoying the sunset. What a dream.

They say that there’s no place like home, and I firmly believe that. Every time I go back to Jacksonville I’m flooded with memories and the joy of being back home in Florida. One of my absolute favorite places on the planet happens to be at the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens, the fine art museum in my hometown.

I have memories of going to art class there as a child, wandering the galleries as a teenager, and it really helping to shape my love of art history and creativity in general. But besides what’s hanging on the walls, the museum has one of the most spectacular gardens with an incredible view of the city. It’s my happy place!

So on a recent trip home, I was wearing a romantic lace skirt that I felt went perfectly with the museum’s scenery. Long maxi skirts aren’t a staple in my closet – but I loved the combination of the black and blush – the volume and whimsy of the shape. Because the skirt is kinda a lot – I paired my look with a simple Old Navy tank top and a vintage denim jacket. I topped it off with some statement earrings which are really on-trend for summer! What about you dolls? Do you have a special place that’s near and dear to your heart?

You ever have an outfit that you feel is totally mom-approved! Well not only is this dress totally lady-like, I could see my mom rocking it as well. White is probably the majority of my summer wardrobe. It looks fresh, clean, and always chic! I love the way it looks on bronzed skin, so its definitely one of my favorite colors to wear.

With spring holidays coming up…Mother’s Day, Easter, etc… I was in the market for a new Spring dress that was appropriate for family functions, but that I could throw on for any easy, breezy warm day. Enter this white stunner from Gianni Bini.  I’m in love with the ladylike midi length and flattering fit-and-flare shape. However, what I love most is the grommeted details that add some heavy-metal edge. It makes this dress pretty, but not too sweet! For my look, I opted for simple nude strappy sandals (my favorite are the Stuart Weitzman nudist), and my ever-present straw hat!

I’ll be rocking this look for Easter and springtime teas with mom. When it gets cooler in the evening, I can’t wait to throw on a denim jacket to complete the look. Here’s hoping mom doesn’t steal this out of my closet!
