One of my favorite combinations to wear is denim on denim. Some may call it the Canadian Tuxedo, but I call it stylish when done right.

So when I’m having a chill weekend and want to feel cool and put together, denim on denim is definitely a go-to. One of my rules when wearing the look is to make sure that I pair different shades of denim together. It helps avoid looking matchy-matchy, and just adds for a more interesting look. I also like to wear my all denim with neutral accessories – that usually means my minimalist, nude heels. Lastly, I love to dress up my double denim! Since denim usually means a more casual feel, I like to elevate my outfit with some luxe details, like my Chloé bag or mirrored Dior sunglasses. I think they really make a statement!

This time my Canadian Tuxedo is all Rag & Bone. I love the ease and fit of my distressed jeans, and the off-the-shoulder denim top is the perfect shade of Indigo. My favorite part of the top is the black satin cuffs that are the most gorgeous detail. Did I also mention this top is reversible? You can have the buttons up the front, or down your back! I’m all for variety, so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of me in this new fav.

What are some of your favorite weekend looks?

Lust List

Birthday

1. Maje.  Again, I know it’s a million degrees outside, but I keep looking forward to wearing sweaters in the fall.  I love the bight red of this Maje sweater that would mentally transport me back to the streets of Paris.

2. Drybar.  I’m all about that mermaid hair, and I never turn down an opportunity to get a good blowout.  I mean, have you seen how long my hair is? Any opportunity to sip champagne, be pampered and feel beautiful is a great gift in my book.

3. Chanel.  I love this Chanel card case with it’s tastefully-sized gold logo and textured leather. It’s just classic, and the perfect size for a clutch.

4. Soul Cycle.  I’m back in the Soul habit! SoulCycle is my moment for me during the week.  I just get lost in the music and feel great about doing such a fun workout.  The classes are a bit pricey if you go often, so I think it’s also a great gift for those who like to stay active.

5. Name Necklace.  I’m having a Sex and The City moment and really want a name necklace all of a sudden. I just think it would be cute with sweaters or layered with other dainty jewelry.

6. Cyclical Industry,  Speaking of dainty jewelry…these micro-circle earrings are just the cutest and would go with any ensemble.  I love that they’re sparkly, but still understated.

7. Manolo Blahnik.  My Manolos are probably the shoes I wear most.  My classic black pair is a staple for work because they are sexy, yet so comfortable  I feel like I would get just as much wear out of a navy pair, which I’ve been lusting over for some time now.

8. Chloé.  My go-to fragrance that I just finished. It’s a fresh, floral scent that always makes me feel feminine and chic.

9. Bose.  Last but not least, Bose wireless headphones. My friend Daniela got a pair of Bose headphones when she worked on some of the ads last year.  Almost instantly I found myself making up any excuse to borrow her pair and enjoy the superb sound quality. Now that the wireless, noise cancelling model is out – I think it’s finally time to get my own pair.

Well it seems like a heatwave has suddenly hit New York City. The recent weather makes me feel like I’m back home in Florida. Ok, it’s not that bad…but close!

On my last trip back to FL, I made sure to pack breezy whites and short silhouettes to combat the heat. This white off-the-shoulder romper was one of my favorite looks that I wore for an afternoon in the park and a long, sunny lunch with my family. When I saw the romper on the hanger in the store, I thought it was just a long tunic – but imagine my surprise when I saw it was a the perfect one-piece I’ve been wanting for the season.

I love the off the shoulder, of course. But can we talk about the flared sleeves?! I love a good, dramatic sleeve (further proof). And then there are the tiny pearl embellishments that just add that little something extra to make this piece even more special. I love this addition to my collection of Summer whites, and I can’t wait to wear this out and about in the city!
