Polka dots have never really been my thing. I’m more of a stripes gal. But I have to say….they are starting to grow on me. I saw this champagne skirt with an angled hem and thought it would go perfectly with some favorites I already have in my closet. Neutral sweaters, a black turtleneck, mock neck bodysuit…the list goes on and on.
For our recent trip to Savannah, I had to bring my new skirt along and add in some details to give it some Southern and girly flare. What did I pair my polka dots with? Pink pumps of course. I picked up these famous Manolo Blahnik Hangisi satin pumps that were waiting to be found at Saks Off Fifth. You may recognize these as Carrie’s Wedding Shoes (in blue) in the first Sex & The City movie! Well, While I’m no Carrie Bradshaw, I do absolutely love these pumps that are more versatile than you might initially think. I’ve worn them to work with jeans and a collared shirt and paired them with dresses of equally bright shades.
To finish my Savannah weekend look, I capped it all off with my favorite Eric Javits straw boater, my new Céline (swoon) and classic, cat-eye shades!
