So I’m not a frequent sporting-event attendee, but this week The College Vault and IMG Sports hooked me up with the seats to the College Football National Championship game! What an exciting experience! First of all, the Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is beyond professional and warm. Secondly, even though I went to Vanderbilt (and not one of the schools playing), the energy of Alabama and Georgia was absolutely infectious!

It was such an incredible experience to be around such passionate fans cheering on their teams. The stadium was a sea of red (both crimson and bulldog)! Speaking of red, since both teams were in the same color palette, I felt like I had quite the opportunity to put together some fun outfits for the event. I’m not really a t-shirt and hoodie kinda gal, so I wanted to express my sports-fan spirit in a fashionable and unique way!

For this opportunity I looked no further than rent the runway to get my red and black looks. Not only did I get tickets to the game, but also pre-event party and Third Eye Blind concert! Since I needed more than one outfit, I needed some items I could mix and match that also wouldn’t break the bank. I think my outfits turned out pretty dope, and let’s just say that I stood out amongst the crowd! What do you dolls think? Would you dress up for a sporting event?

Most Covetable Bags

I don’t know what it is about this time of year…but something in the air just makes me antsy to buy a new bag. Maybe it’s the treat yo self mentality of the holidays and my natural affection for handbags, but the winter months just do it to me! Last year I bought my caramel Saint Laurent beauty, and this year I splurged on my Cardinal Red Hava satchel from Proenza Schouler. So in honor of my case of the bag gimme’s, I thought I’d do a round-up of the most covetable bags of 2018 thus far. Cue the drooling!

1. A more unique take on the box bag trend, this Mark cross comes in a variety of colors to go with that new Spring wardrobe, and it’s totally insta-worthy! I think this bag is very of the moment, but classic at the same time. You’ll have it for years to come.

2. The shape of this bag is so unique that it’s become the “it-girl” bag that you can spot from a mile away. With it’s cute size and versatile handles, you can wear this bag from day to night. I also love the crackled metallic color of this particular style, as it will wear well over time!

3. I think the box bag trend is here to stay for a while. AND, did it ever really go out of style to begin with? The shape is so classic and I love this one with it’s modern metallic texture.

4. Speaking of a great deal, this bucket bag from Zara capitalizes on the great shape, but also adds special details with the metallic studs on the straps. A little bit girly, yet a little bit rock and roll!

5. A small crossbody is a staple to any wardrobe. I love this pick from Prada, because its monochrome logo makes it subtle and unique at the same time!

6. The mixture of colors and textures on this bag is just so rich. Well, the pricetag is pretty hefty, but you can tell the quality and design is what you would come to expect from a designer like Marni!

7. I’ve been pining over a crocodile bag, but obviously don’t want the corresponding pricetag. This beauty from Zara is the most gorgeous shade of green (that would also be beautiful with pastels in the Spring), and is only $22! Score! Ordering this one now!

My Beauty Routine

A new year means some new products in my beauty arsenal. While some things have been added, some products I use have been the same for years. What can I say… I have my favorites! I’m sure many people would agree that there are some products that stand the test of time and are staples, but there’s always room to explore and find new ones! While I by no means consider myself a beauty expert (I’m always learning new tips and tricks), I think I’ve gotten pretty good at my beauty routine over the years. I’d love to share with you what I use and some of the new products that I’ve tried recently.

I start my makeup routine by using a liquid foundation. My go-to for years has been MAC’s Matchmaster, but recently I’ve started using Urban Decay’s All Nighter Foundation! I love a matte finish that doesn’t look dry or ashy, and I love the wide range of shades that is offered, as my skin’s pigment can fluctuate between seasons. Shout out to Northeastern Winters and Florida Summers! As a splurge, my other favorite foundation is Armani Luminous Silk.

After I apply my foundation, I set with a finishing powder. I usually use MAC’s Studio Fix Perfecting Powder, but recently I was gifted Lancôme’s Translucence Silky Loose Powder and I really love it! Highly recommended.

Ok, now that my foundation is set, I move to eyes. I tend to love a neutral eye with smoky corners, so I love the Naked palette, like so many others. You really can’t go wrong. Sometimes I also layer Mac’s “Expensive Pink” over a neutral shade to give a shimmery a bronzy color. On my skin the pink is more copper, so I really love it. As a splurge, I use the Tom Ford “Cognac Sable” and “Golden Mink” palettes. They have the perfect combination of matte and shimmer so you can customize your look. While I use the brush in the Naked palette, I tend to dab on the Tom Ford pigment. I find it’s more intense and lasts longer. I finish my eyes with a MAC Pro Longwear Black Eyeliner and Benefit’s “Yes They’re Real” Mascara!

As a tip, I like to do my eyes before I apply blush in case some of the powder or mascara finds its way to my cheeks. It’s easier to clean up/perfect in this order! When my eyes are complete, I dab some pink on my cheeks. I alternate pretty randomly between MAC’s “Dollymix” (I apply with a brush), the NARS “Orgasm” Liquid Blush (liquid is my fav in this color) and Tom Ford’s Cream Cheek Color (I use Pink Sand or Paradiso) which has a bit of shimmer.

The “Finishing Touch” includes some strobing (applying highlighter) to my upper cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and at the top of my eyebrow arch to add a glowy look. When I want my look to last EXTRA long, I finish my look with Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray. Just a couple light spritzes makes my look last from morning to evening!

I hope you guys liked hearing about my routine and if you have any questions on the products feel free to reach out! AND if you have any products you think I’d like, please send them my way!

Lots of my love! Xo
