Happy Friday dolls! As many of you probably saw, I recently partnered with the Brunello Cucinelli at the Shops of Buckhead to highlight some of this season’s looks. I’m a huge Cucinelli fangirl, so the opportunity was to-die-for, as I got to pick three different looks that I would wear in my everyday life. I kicked off the series with an evening wear look that I’d typically wear for an event or a night out on the town with Jason! If you haven’t seen it yet, then please go look – the clothes are too beautiful to miss!

For this post, I really wanted to showcase a more casual look that I might wear on the weekends. I opted for a tulle skirt, leather biker jacket, simple tank, and sneakers! While everything from Cucinelli is a showstopper, let’s start with the skirt. The full tulle skirt could read ballerina, but it’s more modern with built in leggings for comfort and cover under the sheer layers. Leggings built in…genius! By far my favorite piece happened to be the leather jacket…no surprise there! The buttery cognac leather screams luxury an the shearling lining kept me warm on the coldest day of the year thus far. Finally, I finished my look the sneakers with a metallic detail that read chic yet athletic at the same time. Overall, this look is perfect for grabbing brunch with friends, running errands, and an afternoon prosecco – all items on weekend to-do list! Love the look? Click the links below for further details on each Cucinelli piece and also the look for less! Next up…my workday look with Cucinelli. So I hope you dolls check back in to read that! xo

One of the things I love most about my new home is that I live in a prime, but charming shopping village. Within a stone’s throw from my door is access to some of the most beautiful boutiques and on-trend fashion a girl could ask for. I love strolling down the street and exploring my “backyard” while I peruse the stores and admire the window displays. One of the stores that always catches my attention is Brunello Cucinelli. If you’re not familiar, Cucinelli is a heritage brand that exudes the simple elegance of Italian luxury. Understated yet glamorous, the brand merges traditional Italian style with a modern edge. I love that every piece feels luxurious to the touch, looks timeliness, but also feels young and fresh.

When Cucinelli approached me to style some looks for my everyday life, I jumped at the chance! First up is a night out on the town. For me, I’m not the type of girl to throw on a tight dress for dinner or cocktails. I prefer more unexpected pieces like a statement pant or jumpsuit. For my evening look, I opted for embellished high-waisted trousers, paired with a simple tank and blazer. I topped off my look with a waterfall necklace to add a touch more drama and glamour. I could see myself pairing the pants with a cashmere sweater, or even black turtleneck and leather jacket. The blazer? Well it’s not only classic, but impeccably tailored, and I didn’t want to take it off! While Cucinelli does scream luxury, the value and quality speaks for itself. As an aside, I love that the brand is socially conscious and also true to it’s Italian roots. For more information on Cucinelli, I love this GQ article from earlier this season! And for those who want the look for a little less, see my other links below! Can’t get enough of these looks (I know I couldn’t)?  I still have my “workday” and “weekend” looks to share with you. Until then, Ciao dolls!

Top 10 Blogs I Follow

brown-paper-doll-top-blogs

The honest truth about my blog is that I’ve wanted to start it for quite some time. I remember being in college, following along with some of my favorite bloggers and feeling inspired to follow in their footsteps. Back then I thought I had similar items in my closet and valued a platform for a little self-expression. Despite my interest, I was always too afraid to get my own project off the ground. More on that to come later!

If you follow along with me on Instagram, then you might have seen that one of my friends who knew me back then came to visit over the weekend. We reminisced about when my blog was just a dream and how far I’ve come since then. I thank all of you who are reading this now for following along with me and helping me actualize that dream. Of course, I also have to pay homage to those ladies who inspired me in the first place. Many of these bloggers I’ve followed for years and continue to follow along! Their growth and journeys also get me excited about what the future may hold for myself. BUT if you’re interested, here are some of those fantastic and fashionable ladies that keep me reading along!

Atlantic to Pacific – I have to start this list with my favorite blogger and the first blogger I ever followed religiously. Blaire brings imagination, whimsy and color to each outfit and constantly inspires me to be more creative with mine.

Brooklyn Blonde – A more recent follow since I moved to New York, Helena’s blog combines classic sophistication with New York City edge.

Ranti in Review – One of the ladies who made me feel comfortable blogging as a woman of color, Ranti gets me inspired to play with volume and interesting silhouettes.

Walk in Wonderland – Another inspiration in more ways than one, the beautiful Sheryl makes trends feel sophisticated and relatable. From sheer fashion to velvet or metallics, I love seeing the latest styles on this blog.

Something Navy – One of the today’s biggest Super-bloggers, I love seeing Arielle’s cool-girl style and how she wears her outfits in everyday settings. Plus, her daughter is the cutest and I love taking a peek into their lives!

Damsel in Dior – I love Jaycee’s style because it’s very on-trend, but classic and minimalist at the same time. Her style and shopping links are impeccable.

Cupcakes and Cashmere – Another one of the first blogs I followed, I love Emily’s casual and uniquely Cali style. It’s been amazing following along with her for years and seeing her business (and family) grow! Plus, I always remember that one time I emailed her and not only did she respond, but she was sweet as can be!

Symphony of Silk – A newer follow that Alexa suggested, Lorna plays with trendy styles but in a way that never seems over the top.

Gal Meets Glam – On the more cutesy side, Julia always styles ultra-feminine looks that create a feeling of Southern Charm.

Margo & Me – Last but not least is the ultra classy and romantic blog, Margo & Me. Jenny, a self-proclaimed Francofile styles feminine and romantic looks that feel straight of a storybook.

And there you have it…some of the my favorite blogs that keep me inspired and stylish. I hope you discovered something new and keep following along with yours truly! Love you dolls! xo
