I love this time of year because coats bring an entirely new layer of style to any outfit. While it’s easy to reach for neutrals such a black or camel, sometimes you want something a little more fun. On those occasions, I usually reach for plaid, but this year I went for something a little different. Star prints have been all the rage and I was so excited to see it on a cozy coat. In addition to the look you see here, I can’t wait to wear this overall black or even a bright citrus-hued sweater!
Logo-mania is here! Brands are plastering their logos across our favorite fashion pieces. From shoes to apparel, and let’s not forget accessories, brand names are all the rage! Want to join in on the trend – here are some of my top picks to incorporate logos into your wardrobe in a tasteful way.
Fendi Shoes: The cutest kitten heel pump that has a mesh logo upper and sporty details.
T-Shirts: Gucci.Levi’s. Saint Laurent. Simple and easy to tastefully layer under your favorite blazer or moto jacket.
Tom Ford Bag: The cutest canvas shopping tote with a removable crossbody strap.
Dior Woven Bracelets: Just add a subtle pop of designer to your wrists. These woven bracelets are reminiscent of ones you might make at camp, but the grown-up version!
Givenchy Beanie: How cute would this be with an all-black winter-outfit.
This past weekend was the first that really felt like Fall in Atlanta. Dare I say there was a bit of a chill in the air. Of course, the New Yorker in me took the opportunity to immediately pull out long sleeves and my new favorite coat.
I spotted this coat while shopping at Zara in Dublin, Ireland. But never fear, it’s available in the U.S. as well! The menswear-inspired silhouette is slightly oversized, so I ended up going down a size. I love the shape, the length, the masculine touches- most notably the print. The checked design is uniquely Fall and pairs perfectly with all black. I also love that the color palette is subtle, but has a streak of yellow for a modern touch.
I paired my new coat with all black (a bodysuit and ripped jeans) and a nude sock boot. For those who want to buy into the sock boot trend, I highly recommend these, also from Zara. The comfort is insane, and the color looks rich in person. I think it will be gorgeous on fair skin, and the slightly milky shade looks high fashion on darker skin like mine.
All in all, Zara has some great pieces for Fall, and I can’t wait to pair these two new pieces with more in my closet. The opportunities are endless!
