For many of you who know me personally, you know that I spend a couple weeks a year visiting my brother in Ireland. I’ve been going for the past 13 years so Ireland has unofficially become my home away from home. It’s been interesting and amazing to see how the city has evolved in recent years. I’ve seen the tech industry blossom, new and modern architecture rise, and the coming and going of my favorite stores and restaurants. However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the warmth of the Irish people and the infectious spirit that you immediately feel upon arrival.

Needless to say, part of my heart will always be in Dublin with my brother. However, I feel very fortunate that I can keep visiting and experience the wonders of the city year after year. One thing that’s also evolved with each visit are my outfits!

This year I felt like I packed particularly light – simply packing ripped jeans, basic dresses and surprisingly only 2 of my moto jackets! I realized that in previous years I packed distinct outfits for each day, whereas this time I packed black and neutral basics that I was easily able to mix and match.
The Irish weather is notoriously temperamental, with bursts of sunshine quickly being blown away by cool wind and rain. With that in mind, my Irish outfits always consist of layers that keep me warm, but ready for any change in temperature.

For this particular look, I layered a simple, neutral Zara dress with an olive Club Monaco vest. The vest is a new purchase that has already paid for itself tenfold. I find myself layering it over short dresses, skirts, and of course, ripped jeans. I love the longer hemline, accessible pockets, and dusty green shade that goes with everything. Thanks Dublin for giving me the opportunity to break out my Fall-wear a little earlier this year! Do you dolls have an item you can’t wait to wear this Fall?

As I get older, my opinion of what I find sexy continues to evolve. A couple of years ago, it was probably cut-out dresses, low-cut tops, and a sky-high heel. Don’t get me wrong… I’m still a fan of the sky-high heel, and I probably always will be! However, as my tastes evolve, the bandage skirts have disappeared, the haltar tops tossed aside, and cut-outs banished to the back of my closet.

Enter this Agnona number. With a tight fit, longer hem, and bubblegum shade – this is my definition of sexy today. In this dress, I feel like Cookie Lyon meets Claire Underwood. Think I could handle the presidency? Throw in some structured accessories like my go-to Prada bag and cat-eye Dior sunglasses, and I feel glamorous and powerful. I also love the striking and girly shade of pink. Of course, I styled my look with a pair of studded, nude Christian Louboutins. When I saw these at Bergdorfs, they looked edgy, but not over the top. I decided to make these my “treat yo self” birthday gift. Notice the sky-high heel…some habits die hard.

Do you have a favorite silhouette that makes you feel confident and sexy?

One of my favorite combinations to wear is denim on denim. Some may call it the Canadian Tuxedo, but I call it stylish when done right.

So when I’m having a chill weekend and want to feel cool and put together, denim on denim is definitely a go-to. One of my rules when wearing the look is to make sure that I pair different shades of denim together. It helps avoid looking matchy-matchy, and just adds for a more interesting look. I also like to wear my all denim with neutral accessories – that usually means my minimalist, nude heels. Lastly, I love to dress up my double denim! Since denim usually means a more casual feel, I like to elevate my outfit with some luxe details, like my Chloé bag or mirrored Dior sunglasses. I think they really make a statement!

This time my Canadian Tuxedo is all Rag & Bone. I love the ease and fit of my distressed jeans, and the off-the-shoulder denim top is the perfect shade of Indigo. My favorite part of the top is the black satin cuffs that are the most gorgeous detail. Did I also mention this top is reversible? You can have the buttons up the front, or down your back! I’m all for variety, so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of me in this new fav.

What are some of your favorite weekend looks?
