It completely blows my mind that one year has already passed since my wedding day. Where does the time go?
As I look back on one of the best days of my life, I’m so grateful to all of our friends and family who flew from all over the world to be with us on our special day. It was truly a surreal experience to look around the room and see friends from different stages of life, all there to support us and share in our love. What a humbling experience.

Of course, the big day flashes by in a blur of lace, champagne and candlelight. From time to time, when I look back at the photos, I’m instantly filled with the same joy and gratitude of last September. I also fall in love all over again. From my dear Jason, to our guests, to the decor, to the fashion – it truly was a perfect day.

Speaking of fashion, I thought I’d share some select photos, showcasing our wedding style. I felt beautiful in my fitted Monique Lhuillier lace gown. I instantly fell in love with the corseted bodice and pearl buttons trailing all the way down my back. I felt like the dress was a classic silhouette, but also sexy and modern which showed off my curves.

Of course, being a groom who works in fashion – you know Jason would also be dressed to perfection. He wore a classic black Zegna tux with a velvet bowtie and velvet smoking slippers.

I hope you enjoy the photos and I hope to share more details on the blog in the future!

Cheers to 1 year and many more to come. Love you Jase! xo

Lust List

September Style

fall-winter-2016

1. Chanel.  In person, these sunglasses are the coolest shade of blue that I think would translate well from season to season. Also, the trendy round shape is very in, but these are classic enough to stand the test of time even when trends change.

2. Apple.  The new wave of iPhones has arrived! I’m personally getting one because my current phone screen is cracked, so it’s just time for me. However, with greater storage, an upgraded camera, and no headphone jack, the iPhone 7 is lust-worthy. Plus, I can’t wait to use it with Bose wireless headphones! What do you dolls think, are you trading up?

3. Topshop.  One of my favorite things is to play with differing lengths and hemlines.I love the idea of a short dress or cropped pants with a longer coat layered on top.  This pale blue duster is a gorgeous shade that will add dimension and polish to any Fall look.

4. Shopbop.  I have an obsession with grey sweaters, and I love the feminine details on this Endless Rose number. It’s not your boyfriend’s sweater… it’s better!

5. Philip B.  In the Fall I feel like I can get away with some more time in between hair washes. But to make sure my tresses don’t look greasy and my hair stays fresh, I like to use a dry shampoo. This one, by Philip B, is honestly the best I’ve ever tried. It doesn’t leave behind white reside, is paragon free, doesn’t feel sticky and has the most DIVINE scent. It’s a little bit pricier than the average, but I really can’t rave enough about it.

6. Nars.  Time to transition to a darker lip shade for Fall. This NARS essential is next on my list with it’s moody berry shade and matte finish.

7. Zara.  Chanel? Almost. These comfy and cute Zara cap-toe shoes are a great heel height. And yes, they look like Chanel and are just simply gorgeous. For less than $40, we all need these in our wardrobe.

8. Tibi.  This Tibi dress give me serious Divergent vibes. I feel like it’s what a sexy Erudite leader would wear. Sorry, is my nerd showing? Anyway, the dress is so simple, but the cut and fit is flattering and unique. Plus…navy. Gimme.

For many of you who know me personally, you know that I spend a couple weeks a year visiting my brother in Ireland. I’ve been going for the past 13 years so Ireland has unofficially become my home away from home. It’s been interesting and amazing to see how the city has evolved in recent years. I’ve seen the tech industry blossom, new and modern architecture rise, and the coming and going of my favorite stores and restaurants. However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the warmth of the Irish people and the infectious spirit that you immediately feel upon arrival.

Needless to say, part of my heart will always be in Dublin with my brother. However, I feel very fortunate that I can keep visiting and experience the wonders of the city year after year. One thing that’s also evolved with each visit are my outfits!

This year I felt like I packed particularly light – simply packing ripped jeans, basic dresses and surprisingly only 2 of my moto jackets! I realized that in previous years I packed distinct outfits for each day, whereas this time I packed black and neutral basics that I was easily able to mix and match.
The Irish weather is notoriously temperamental, with bursts of sunshine quickly being blown away by cool wind and rain. With that in mind, my Irish outfits always consist of layers that keep me warm, but ready for any change in temperature.

For this particular look, I layered a simple, neutral Zara dress with an olive Club Monaco vest. The vest is a new purchase that has already paid for itself tenfold. I find myself layering it over short dresses, skirts, and of course, ripped jeans. I love the longer hemline, accessible pockets, and dusty green shade that goes with everything. Thanks Dublin for giving me the opportunity to break out my Fall-wear a little earlier this year! Do you dolls have an item you can’t wait to wear this Fall?

Vest: Club Monaco. Dress: Zara (Sold Out). Boots: Stuart Weitzman. Bag: Prada. Sunglasses: Dior.
