Summer White: Custom Teeth Whitening With Smile Brilliant

smile-brilliant

Hey Dolls! I hope everyone had a nice long weekend and enjoyed the Memorial Day holiday. I can’t believe that Summer is officially here! With shooting in LA, the move, and getting settled at my new job – 2017 is just flying by! But… I’m totally ready for some family time, pool fun, and new Summer outfits. Without a doubt, white is one of my favorite colors to wear in the Summer. I feel like it looks like a breath of fresh air, and not to mention I think it looks great on my tanned skin.

While I always tend to pick up some new crisp, white sundresses for the season, I always like to give myself another pop of white…on my teeth that is! They say you’re never fully dressed without a smile – and I think it’s true! Your smile can be the best accessory to any look. While I try to use a whitening toothpaste, I also give myself a special teeth whitening treatment at least once a year. I think it helps removes stains that can be a bit deeper, and just gives you a fresh start. So when I was approached by Smile Brilliant to try their at-home teeth whitening system, I jumped at the opportunity.

Smile Brilliant is an amazing system that gives you a straight-from-the-dentist professional whitening – but in the comfort of your own home. First of all, they send you a kit to take impressions so that their lab can make custom trays for your teeth. This is often a service that dentists provide, which can be time consuming and not to mention very expensive. So you take your impressions and return them to SB in a pre-packaged envelope, and then they’ll send you back your custom trays which fir your mouth PERFECTLY, whitening and de-sensitizing gel, and very clear instructions. At first I was skeptical that the trays wouldn’t fit, the instructions would be confusing, or the results would be sub-par. I can honestly say I was shocked at the quality and fit of my trays, the step-by-step instruction, and most importantly…the results! Within ten minutes, I could feel the gel working and have been really impressed with the results. I whitened for a couple days, took some time off to avoid any over-sensitivity, and then finished up the process the following week. The best part is that I have my trays and can order refills of whitening gel for anytime I need a touch-up. For the level of results, it’s a fraction of the cost of whitening at the dentist, and I felt it was more effective than an over-the-counter whitening system.

Memorial Day

So Memorial Day is upon us and I’m totally stoked for the long weekend. With the move, my parents visiting, and getting settled at work – we haven’t yet had the chance to enjoy our new home and city. This weekend, I’m excited about sitting by the pool with an ice-cold drink, exploring the city, and shooting some new content for you lovely readers! Oh, and some shopping is on my list too. The Georgia heat is real y’all, and I need some new summer essentials!

Just in time for the holiday, I’ve rounded up my latest picks for the weekend and for some Summer fun. New season, new home, new lust list- and everything is coming up rosé!

1. J. Crew One=Piece Scoop Back Swimsuit – The silhouette of this swimsuit stands the test of time. I’ve been so into one-pieces recently, so I love this classic take in a variety of gorgeous hues. Just what we’d come to expect from J.Crew.

2. Wölffer No. 139 Dry Rosé Cider – The crispest and most refreshing cider in the game! I love that it’s actually a rosé, and not to mention the bottle is gorgeous! I actually did a wine tasting with Wolffer at my old ad agency, and visited the vineyard in the Hamptons with Rachel this summer. It’s definitely one of my favorites, and if you haven’t given it a try – then I suggest you grab a bottle…or 3. No judgment.

3. Everything, Everything – Don’t forget to throw a good book in your beach bag this weekend! Everytime I see the preview for the new movie Everything, Everyhing – I get a little misty. I’m not crying; you’re crying! Besides the cutest co-stars (Rue from the Hunger Games, and older brother from Jurassic World), the story about falling for the boy next door, and making the most of life – seems like perfect summer read before it hits the box office.

4. Nannacay Baby Pom-Pom Raffia Straw Tote – The cutest little straw tote with ombré pink poms to make it even more special. I love the shape and size! It’s perfect for throwing in some sunnies, a good book, lip balm, and a yummy coconut water!

5. Chanel UV Essentiel Sunscreen – I can’t say it enough – protect your skin! The older I get, the more concerned I’ve become about treating my skin right. Sunscreen is such an important part of self-care, especially in the Summer! This pick from Chanel is lightweight, not oily, and will keep you looking flawless!

6. Gucci Square Colorblock Sunglasses – I don’t know…I just love these. I feel like they remind me of neopolitan icecream. They might be a little out of the box, but I think they’d be gorgeous with a white jumpsuit or an black sundress. OR just go bold and wear it with some color like a hot pink or bright emerald green. I’m headin to Saks to try these on immediately!

7. Sea Pink Tie-Front Cutout Sundress – Love this color and the peekaboo cutouts.  Plus, give me a bow any day!  I love that it show a flash of skin, without being too much.

Hey Dolls –

I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Thanks again for bearing with me as Jason and I have been getting settled into our new home. But now – it’s time to get back into the swing of things with the blog. It’s so funny…my first week in Atlanta, and I was still wearing all black and burning to death in my leather jacket. I quickly realized that I needed to switch up my go-to’s in my wardrobe . That doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll abandon my black ripped jeans and t-shirts (that’s what I’m wearing today), but I definitely see my style and wardrobe choices updating slightly. Stay tuned to see how this plays out further!

Well, before I left New York, I got the chance to shoot one of my new favorite Spring/Summer tops from StyleWe. You might remember I rocked this dress in Miami, but I was saving the top for warmer weather in NYC. I love StyleWe, because they have some great fun styles that won’t break the bank. This top really spoke to me because I love the flirty and girly design (give me bows all day!!!), but combines menswear details such as classic 3/4 sleeves and a pin-stripe pattern. I opted for navy (it also comes in light blue), because I thought it would be killer with some white ripped jeans for the summer. For this look, I paired the top with studded L’Agence jeans (these are incredible) and a simple nude heel. The top’s fabric is super soft and comfortable, so I see myself rocking this one on repeat. With the stress of the move, Jason and I haven’t really had the chance to go out and re-explore the city. BUT, with the long weekend coming up, we’re really excited to hit the town, and I think I’ll be re-wearing this exact look!

Pinstripe Bow Top: StyleWe. Studded High-Rise Ankle Skinny Jeans: L’Agence. Nudist Goosebump Sandals: Stuart Weitzman. Bag: Saint Laurent.

Thank you StyleWe for partnering on this post!
