Pink is my favorite color. Always has been, and I’m thinking it might aways be. In the past, I’ve been worried about looking too girly, or too saccharine – but with the resurgence of “millennial pink” I’m embracing my favorite shade!

Another trend that I’ve begun to love is the dressing in monochrome, one of various shades of the same color. So why not combine my two loves in this latest outfit!

Ironically, I feel wearing ALL pink adds more caché and less sweetness than a single pink piece. So I went all out! These gorgeous pink pants from Topshop were an absolute steal, and the sweater is the softest cashmere you’ll ever feel and less than $70 to boot!

I splurged a bit on the coat, but I feel that it’s worth it given the perfect shade of pastel pink and my tendency to wear coats for many years to come! Walking around the city, I felt heads turn to see a woman in an entirely bubblegum outfit…but in a good way! Lastly, I topped my look with a Parisian-inspired beret to add an extra layer of chic. What do you dolls think? Would you rock an entirely pink look?

As a previous New Yorker, black is definitely the go-to in my wadrobe, but since I’m back down South, I’ve loved experimenting with color more. However, one my favorite looks has got to be the absence of color… I’m talking all white. Winter white to be exact! Last year, I shared one of my favorite winter outfits – and this year I’m sharing a new take on the monochromatic look!

Instead of simply throwing on a sweater, this year I opted for a tissue turtleneck (so soft and comfy) and a winter white blazer! People may think a white or cream blazer is hard to pull off, but I almost love it more than a black blazer. It’s still easy to pair, not over the top, BUT you stand out! It looks fresh, and believe me…it’s unique and classic at the same time.

While I have a cream blazer I love, this double-breasted one from Veronica Beard brings the glam! I love the gold buttons (they almost look like Balmain) and the black detailing on the collar is such a nice touch! Of course, I love to be business on top and rock and roll below, so I paired my look with my go-to distressed jeans from TopShop. These jeans run about $80 and they’ve lasted me season after season (as you can see from last year’s post).

So what do you dolls think? Would you rock all white this season?

Heading back to work after a long vacation can be daunting to say the least. I spent a full two weeks at home in Florida, enjoying the sunshine, spending time with family and just plain ol’ relaxing. While my day-to-day pace had slowed down, I had time to focus on Brown Paper Doll and goals for 2018. The brief hiatus gave me time to reflect on the past year and what I hope to achieve in the future! I hope to expand my network, partner with brands I’m passionate about, meet more like-minded individuals and find more joy in the growth process. While I can’t wait to achieve those goals, it’s back to work in the meantime!

Many people don’t know that I work a full 9 to 5 job, and boy is it stressful juggling these responsibilities with my blog. Even though I do love my job, I’m falling into a bit of the blues having less time to focus on Brown Paper Doll and the goals I’m so eager to achieve. It’s all a balance and I’m just figuring it out as I go.

Speaking of blues, while I was home I repurposed the navy Tibi skirt that I wore for one of my holiday special occasion looks! I love taking a piece and with a little bit of creativity, making a brand new outfit! For this look – I kept it all Tibi, pairing it with a houndstooth print crop top with tie sleeves and my marigold mules. These shoes are literally my favorite, and I can’t wear them enough. The sunny shade of velvet makes me January blues just fade away!

P.S. How gorgeous is this Inn in Jacksonville! Jason and I almost rented it as accommodations for our wedding and every time I drive by it makes me smile.
