J.Crew Playa

It’s no secret I’m a major fan of J.Crew. Their classic style and preppy aesthetic is something that’s always resonated with me. Even as my style has changed, I can always count on staples such as luxe cashmere sweaters, playful shoes, and quality swimwear that won’t break the bank.

Speaking of swimwear, with the departure of Victoria Secret – don’t you feel like there is a lack of mid-range swim options? Ie – not an H&M or Target, but also not a suit from Saks that’s a huge chunk of a paycheck. I’m guilty of looking at price tags and thinking “that’s not that bad” before realizing that’s only the cost of the top…not the bottom!

Well J.Crew has consistently provided great silhouettes for swim that work for a range of body types and come in the cutest colors and patterns. Like I said, I’m a fan! Recently, they also launched another swim line called J.Crew Playa! What’s the difference between this and their normal swim? It’s a little more playful and a little skimpier. Think lower necklines, drastic scoop backs, and an even more affordable price-point. Aka perfect for the millennials out there who want the quality of a heritage brand, but with a fresh perspective. If you like my swimsuit pictured above, I highly recommend checking out the collection. You can find my other favorites HERE, HERE, and HERE.

Thank you J.Crew for partnering on this post!

There’s no doubt about it – white is the color of my Summer uniform. A couple of years ago, I invested in a white Zimmerman jumpsuit (which I adore), so I figured it was about time for a variation.

This C/MEO jumpsuit has a gauzy light feel with an oversized buckle for a touch of drama. The extra wide legs make it super comfortable, while the plunging neckline brings the sexy factor.  For an evening out in Chattanooga, I rocked this look with a summery circle bag. The white faux leather details, not to mention the price really sold me! I finished my look with my new gold earrings by Kate Spade for some extra glamour. Lastly, my go-to nude sandals finished the look. Be prepared to see me rock more white (including this jumpsuit) all summer long! After all…white is my uniform!

Navy Fiesta

White jeans are an absolute must have for Summer. And maybe I’m jumping the gun, but I’m wearing mine a little bit early now that Spring has Sprung.  On our recent trip home, Jason and I hit some of my favorite hot spots in the city for dinner and drinks. And what better to wear out in Florida than white jeans and a fun blouse.

In addition to white being a warm-weather staple, I love pairing it with navy! This top by Leith has flirty cutouts and an on-trend ruffle.  In this top, I feel like I’m on my way to my very own fiesta.  Plus, I paired the look with pom sandals that remind me of my favorite Aquazzura heels, but at a fraction of the cost!

Top: Leith.  Sandals: Louise et Cie.  White Jeans: Rachel Comey (Similar for $34.99!).
