Pre-Fall Hodgepodge

fall-2019-hodgepodge-lust-list

Well, it’s still hot as hell down South, but every day I’m willing Fall to arrive. Regardless of if temperatures are obliging, I’m starting to make the seasonal transition with my wardrobe. That also means I’m starting to lust over a new batch of items. I’m talking turtlenecks, some earthy tones, and a little bit of comfy/cozy. This week’s Lust List is a hodgepodge. – but I love all of these items and am pulling the trigger on them one by one. Enjoy!

Aviator National Sweatshirt & Pants: Cozy and bright separates for those Fall. nights curled up on the couch. I’m such a fan of Aviator Nation and this pair. Doesn’t disappoint.

Commando Bodysuit: These Commando bodysuits are my absolute favorite. I have a racerback and sleeveless racerback, but its time to get one with sleeves for the cooler weather!

Chocolate Brown Mules: The most gorgeous shoes that will be so beautiful with plaids and other earth tones this Fall! And look at that shoe shape…so sexy!

Sandalwood Shower Gel: A light but warm scent that is actually amazing all-year-round.

Faux-Tie Necklace: A little bit of glitz and glam that will be great with jeans, a tee and a blazer, or a more dressed-up look.

Faux Shearling Slipper: Another pick for the comfy/cozy category. These feel so soft and warm, but won’t overheat your feet with the open toe. I particularly love this oyster color!

Well, the weather is slowing starting to change for the season, and I’m breaking out a couple of my new favorite pieces for Fall.  A sweater dress is such an easy, transitional piece as you can wear it with sneakers or flats in warmer weather, and move to over-the-knee boots or booties as colder weather approaches.  This year, I picked up a neutral dress from Banana Republic on sale that I couldn’t wait to wear. The cute sleeve detail and color make it the perfect piece to wear with cream, black, and other neutrals.

As we’re not totally in boot weather, I opted for my new favorite pair of sneakers courtesy of Cariuma.  If you haven’t heard of Cariuma before, they are an ethical sneaker company born our of Brazil.  The leather has a premium and buttery feel, and the wide range of colors will have you wanting more than one pair. For my first pair, I chose a nude leather in their classic OCA silhouette that is sure to go with every outfit! I can’t wait to wear these on-set when I go to LA. for work next month.  In addition to this outfit, I see myself wearing these with all black, jeans and comfy sweaters.

Lastly, I finished this look with my new beige Chanel bag to keep my outfit all neutral. While I love all of these items paired together, you’ll see me wearing each with a variety of pieces all Fall long!

Dress: Banana Republic.  Sneakers: Cariuma.  Coat: Sold Out (Similar Options: 1, 2, 3)

Thank you to Cariuma for partnering on this post!

A shirtdress is such a classic piece, and I’ve been searching for the perfect one for quite some time. They’re either too short, too thin or cut in a way that can seem cheap or unflattering. Well, the hunt has come to an end, as I found the dress that was gifted to me by Abbey Glass.  The dress is a perfect length that welcomes work-days or weekends in the town. The fabric feels luxe with a little sheen and complements the A-line shape that is flattering on any body type. What really gets me is the Abbey Glass attention to detail. French cuffs,  the dainty buttons, and a removable waist-tie. It seems one of my favorite Southern designers has thought of it all.  To finish my look, I threw on another iconic piece also by Abbey Glass…a classic trench! The rich champagne color elevates this outwear piece, with more attention to detail with bow accents on the cuff. I finished my look with Balenciaga pumps, but you’ll find me wearing this dress/coat combo with a variety of shoes and accessories to switch up my look.

Thank you to Abbey Glass for these beautiful pieces!
