Paris Je T’aime

When in Paris, do as the Parisians do…eat croissant, drink champagne and shop designer. Well, I’m sure that’s just my idealized version of Parisian life, but that’s what I did anyway!

In addition to strolling the avenues with my love, Jason and I decided to commemorate this special trip with a photoshoot together. He’s always the talent behind the camera, but I got to share the spotlight for this shoot. We wanted to have couple photos that we could share with Elle when she’s older. One day we’ll say, “See? Your parents were once young, stylish and have always loved travel!” For this special occasion, I knew I needed a show-stopping look that was classic, yet felt like me in this moment of my life. I opted for a gown from my favorite dress brand – Zimmermann. The dangling paillettes added movement and a unique quality that I couldn’t resist. I’m so happy with my choice!

For our shoot, we enlisted the Paris Photographer and got dressed up for a memorable night on the town. After photos, we finished up the night with a bottle of champagne and a quaint dinner on the Left Bank. Très magnifique! If you’re ever in Paris, I highly recommend The Paris Photographer to capture your special moments. I’m already daydreaming about the next time we can make a visit to the city of light!

Sky Blue

Every year, there are certain colors that stand out to me, and this year it’s a beautiful sky blue. For me, it evokes feelings of an icy winter day, or could even welcome in the first signs of Spring! It’s such a perfectly pastel shade, and I was so lucky to find this gorgeous cashmere sweater on sale!

I currently don’t own much else this color, but I think that’s about to change! The one other thing I can boast about is the most perfect pair of Manolo mules in the same shade. The suede beauties are so light, they almost become neutral. I was counting on that fact when I paired my blue pieces with ochre-colored corduroy joggers. The outfit is so comfortable that it almost feels like elevated pajamas! But like with any look, it’s not complete without the accessories. To top it all off, I wore my favorite new bag gifted from Mark & Graham. I’m always such a fan of their bags, but this one might be my favorite. The cream color is so rich, and I love that I could customize the piece with the strap of my choosing. Of course I picked one that featured my new favorite color! While this bag paired perfectly with this outfit, I can’t wait to wear it with more neutrals – think winter white and oatmeal. You’ll have to wait and see what I wear with it next!

Traveling in Style with Mark & Graham

Ever since I was young, I always thought travel was such a glamorous experience. I painstakingly pack all of my outfits down to the sunglasses and handbag, and love taking a mini capsule collection to my destination. You all might remember that last year, I became even more organized when I travel because of Mark and Graham. These blush packing cubes, aren’t just a pretty face so to speak. They truly help with keeping my garments and accessories organized and make unpacking so much more efficient! Well this year, I upped my travel game even more!

With a glamorous trip to Paris planned for my husband’s birthday, I knew I needed to arrive in style. The vegan leather luggage set from Mark & Graham was the perfect way to travel to the city of light. I was obsessed with the gorgeous white leather that looks classic and luxurious. The combination of the cognac leather details brings a richness to the set that is so beautiful. Also, offset with my monogram in small gold lettering, I love the personalized touch. I also love that the combination of these bags makes them perfect for any type of trip. I opted to bring both to Paris (a girl needs outfit options), but I’ll just be taking the weekender when I travel to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. It’s the perfect size for a quick trip! Last but not least, I can’t forget the accessories that complete this collection. I’m obsessed with the vegan leather cosmetics cases. I used one for skincare and toiletries and the other for hair and makeup. And they’re so spacious that Jason and I actually shared them! With all of these gorgeous travel accessories, the only question is – where are we going next?
