Cream is the color of every season! It just looks so absolutely rich and goes with everything. Lately, I’ve been opting for cream and oatmeal, cream and grey, and of course…cream and black.
While I was in Paris, I stopped into the Iro store and fell in love with a new leather jacket that had a longer length. My current jacket is a heavier weight and I wanted something that could basically serve as an edgier sweater over dresses and girlier looks. Enter this full skirt from Tibi. While I’ve rocked similar looks before (here and here), I absolutely loved the cream version of the skirt! I could buy it in every color!
Do you ever feel like your outfits on vacation are way better than your day-to-day outfits? Maybe it’s because they are planned with more care beforehand, but they appear to be more effortless. This was certainly the case for me during our recent trip to Paris. I packed all neutrals, and mixed and matched staple pieces depending on my mood. My favorite (and most comfortable) look of the trip was a simple, yet luxe sweater dress from Lafayette 148. Their pieces are so classic and always make me feel so sophisticated. The charcoal dress is the perfect length, not too tight, yet not baggy, and pairs well with everything.
To go with my sweater dress, I wore simple tan and black flats, a cream coat, and a black beret – all from Zara. You all know I love mixing designer stapes with more affordable pieces from shops like Zara and H&M. Here’s to hoping that I can pull off similarly effortless looks back at home!
When in Paris, do as the Parisians do…eat croissant, drink champagne and shop designer. Well, I’m sure that’s just my idealized version of Parisian life, but that’s what I did anyway!
In addition to strolling the avenues with my love, Jason and I decided to commemorate this special trip with a photoshoot together. He’s always the talent behind the camera, but I got to share the spotlight for this shoot. We wanted to have couple photos that we could share with Elle when she’s older. One day we’ll say, “See? Your parents were once young, stylish and have always loved travel!” For this special occasion, I knew I needed a show-stopping look that was classic, yet felt like me in this moment of my life. I opted for a gown from my favorite dress brand – Zimmermann. The dangling paillettes added movement and a unique quality that I couldn’t resist. I’m so happy with my choice!
For our shoot, we enlisted the Paris Photographer and got dressed up for a memorable night on the town. After photos, we finished up the night with a bottle of champagne and a quaint dinner on the Left Bank. Très magnifique! If you’re ever in Paris, I highly recommend The Paris Photographer to capture your special moments. I’m already daydreaming about the next time we can make a visit to the city of light!
