Well, while Winter might be upon us, I recently had a break from the cold when I went home to Florida for the week. I ditched my turtlenecks and leather coat for breezy dresses and light sweaters that could be layered on when the sun went down.

During that time, I wore one of my new favorite pieces that I can’t wait to wear all through 2019. This sunny, maxi dress has the flirtiest ruffles, pretty chiffon straps (perfect for bows) and a color to turn heads. I find it reminiscent of Beyoncé’s iconic look from her Lemonade album. To make it a look worthy of Queen B, I paired the dress with my new Aquazzura heels. You might have seen these arrive if you follow along with my Instagram stories (I hope you do!).

While the shoes are pretty pricey, I got them as a steal on The Real Real. My friends have officially gotten me addicted to bargain shopping for designer duds on the site. And these shoes were my first find! You know what they say. When life gives you lemons….

Dress: Anthropologie.  Shoes: Aquazzura.

I know I’ve told you guys that I’m genuinely feeling the color green this season. And just not any green…a deep emerald green worthy of the jewel tone title.

You’ve seen my beret – but this time I have a full emerald look to match! Because of my pear body shape, I naturally drawn to A-line dresses. And when I’m lucky, I can find just such a dress with some distinctive details that make it truly special. Such was the case when I saw this emerald dress with a subtle, white pattern. The combination of the balloon sleeves and the D-ring belt around the waist gives this dress a retro touch that pairs perfectly with a matching beret.

With the arrival of chillier temperatures, I threw on my camel coat and nude boots to tone down the head to toe green look. Lastly, I finished my look with a vintage Cartier envelope clutch, purchased at my favorite vintage store in my hometown. Every time I’m in Jacksonville, Florida I have to head to Good Eye House & Style to see what new goodies are in-store. And speaking of that… I’ll be in Jacksonville this week so fingers crossed for some new items coming to the blog soon! xo

A common misconception about bloggers is that every outfit we post is a brand new look! Well, perhaps for some – but I love re-using pieces from past outfits, staples purchased years ago, and digging out pieces from the back of my wardrobe. That’s how real women dress, right? Sometimes it just takes a little creativity and some new accessories to make an old outfit new again.

For this look, I put a new spin on a jumpsuit you dolls have seen before. This time, instead of a fur stole I opted for my new (and affordable) blazer!

To make the look even more distinctive, I added my favorite new accessory of the season – a wool, wide-brimmed boater hat from Lack of Color. I feel a little Westworld in it, and I love it! Lack of Color has such a wide variety of styles, and they are quite affordable given the quality of the hats. This one, in particular, is still in stock, so make sure to check it out. I think I might need it in cream next!

While the jumpsuit is old, I’ve linked some similar styles on the market now. What do you dolls think? Tell me about your favorite items you like to re-use and re-wear!
