Pretty & Midi

Every year I get a new white dress, while trying not to buy something too similar to what I purchased the year before. Well, this year Zara gave me everything I was looking for in a new Summer look.  Crisp and white, a midi length, and sleeves/neckline appropriate to wear to work.  I also love the feminine but minimal floral pattern that differentiates this dress from the others already in my wardrobe.

To finish my look, I paired my new dress with strappy gold heels (also from Zara). I think these look so expensive and are such a steal! Bonus – they’re currently on sale!  My bag of choice was my classic Chanel Kelly bag to keep with the bright white theme.

Dress: Zara. Heels: Zara.

Abbey Glass Gown

I recently had the opportunity to pick a few pieces from the Abbey Glass warehouse sale.  If you haven’t heard, Abbey Glass is an amazing Atlanta-based designer that has an eye for classic and feminine clothing.  You might remember that last year I raved about my favorite shirtdress and trench combo from the designer.

Well this Spring, I kicked off the season in style with the most stunning blue gown from Abbey. The color is a dream and the pleated silhouette is both forgiving and flattering.  Of course, my favorite detail is the sash around the neck which can be tied as a bow, kept long, and positioned in the front or back. So many options! I opted for a front bow and oversized Prada sunglasses for a bit of old Hollywood glamour. Even though we’re still social distancing, I can’t wait for this dress on a warm evening or to an event or wedding. For more Abbey Glass pieces, you can visit her store in Atlanta or her online boutique!

I’ve always wanted to rock the pajama by day look! I see those cute flowy tops and the silky printed bottoms and think the look is so cute! However, sometimes you like a style, but it’s not necessarily made for you. Unfortunately, satin pants aren’t my friend and don’t look the most flattering on my body type. But recently, I found a way to rock the pajama trend in a way that makes sense for my body and my lifestyle – the blazer! I found this satin Rag & Bone blazer at Nordstrom Rack (sold out but linked elsewhere below) and knew it was meant for me. I love the double-breasted silhouette, the covered buttons, and the contrast, grosgrain ribbon collar. I love that it gives me the pajama look I love so much, but it is still appropriate for work and weekend wear. For this look, I put my blazer over a David Bowie tank I found at TJ Maxx and my trusty Manolos for a touch of sparkle!
