Jumbo

You dolls know that I love my handbags! AND I absolutely love sharing my opinions on bags and my new purchases with you all. Well after having a baby, I really wanted a new bag that fit my new mom lifestyle. Of course, it still had to be stylish, classic, and luxurious! To fulfill my need, I looked no further than Chanel. The classic flap is the ultimate bag – proven by the exorbitant prices that increase up to a couple of times a year. I love the classic flap because you can throw it over your shoulder or crossbody, keeping you hands free. As a new mom, I’m juggling car seats, a diaper bag, and my little princess herself.  The other big factor for me was size. While I have some crossbody bags already, none of them are large enough to hold all of my essentials. They’re more evening or occasion bags that require some curation of all my goodies. With the need for hand sanitizers, sunglasses, lipstick, wallet and phone, I needed something bigger to hold everything. I don’t want to feel like I’m restricted from bringing along my necessities in favor of being hands free.  With this size Chanel, affectionately nicknamed the “Jumbo” – it combines the best of both worlds. Now let’s talk about the details of the bag. This is a double flap which has an interior flap and zipper under the visible interior. Rumors say that Coco Chanel hid her love letters in that zippered pocket, so I keep one from Jason in there as a romantic homage to Coco. For this size, I also opted for caviar – a pebbled and more durable leather. I don’t have the luxury of being so precious with my bags anymore, and needed something that can stand the test of time. Lastly, I’m obsessed with the color – a blackish charcoal with champagne hardware. The color sometimes looks black, sometimes looks grey, and is beautifully unique. I also think the hardware color (which is a light gold) goes with both silver or gold accessories. It’s stunning! So far this bag has become one of my favorites…but shhh! Don’t tell all of my other bags that!

Aje Maxi

Regardless of season, it seems like my uniform is a white dress. Mini, midi, or maxi – I don’t discriminate! And one dress that took my breath away when I saw it, was this Aje pleated and tiered maxi dress with puff sleeves. The off-the-shoulder neckline makes it fun and flirty, but the length gives me the coverage and a whimsical feeling. This particular dress is an older style from Aje, but it was too beautiful not to share. Besides the full Aje collection of dresses is breathtaking. I highly recommend a visit to their site. I might just have another Aje stunner I’m excited to share soon! Stay tuned!

Aje Fairytale

Usually, white dresses are my official wardrobe for Spring and Summer. However, I’m here to say that I’m still rocking my crisp white frocks on sunny days – even if their days are numbered! Besides, when you have a dress as gorgeous as this one, you want to wear it for as long as possible.

This Aje midi dress with oversized puff sleeves seems straight out of a fairytale. Between the volume, braided asymmetrical details and charming midi length, it’s the perfect combination of sweet and modern. As we know, Aje is known for their dramatic sleeves, but this dress seems more toned down in a crisp shade of white. I also love that you can wear both sleeves up on the shoulders (as pictured), or even pull one down to have a shoulder exposed.

For my look, I paired my dress with simple Celine sunnies and classic Hermès flats. Here’s to continuing my fairytale until coat weather officially arrives!
