When I last posted about jeans, I mentioned that ripped jeans might possibly be my favorite variety. Well it’s official- they absolutely are! I find myself choosing outfits that I immediately want to wear with my favorite cuffed and slouchy pair. Similarly, I have a thing for white shirts of every style. Combine the two and you have my go-to outfit as of late. Comfortable and casual, I like to elevate my look with feminine heels and a structured bag for a bit more polish. I’ve had these J.Crew jeans since college, but I just got myself a new pair of Rag & Bone’s that are similar. Stay tuned for those making an appearance soon!

I always say that I prefer dresses to pants, but in recent years they’ve become an essential part of my wardrobe. I have a couple pairs that I wear over and over again, and take me from work to weekend. Here are my favorites and stapes for any girl’s closet:

1. Classic Dark Jeans– These days I prefer high-rise that elongate my legs and can be dressed up or down.

2. Ripped Jeans– quite possibly my favorite. I wear these with platform sneakers for a casual, cool look or statement heels for an outfit that is laid back, but surprisingly sophisticated.

3. White Jeans– a must for summer! Obviously white jeans look sexy with a strappy top for the summer months. But I also wear mine during transitional times with an oatmeal or black sweater and pumps.

4. Black Trousers– last but not least are a pair of chic black trousers. Great to pair with t-shirts and heels or a blouse and blazer for a sleek suit look.

I’m totally a heels girl. But, living in New York, sneakers are essential! Not only comfortable, these shoes are totally stylish and on-trend. Never one to give up on my heels, I recently splurged on a pair of platform Joshua Sanders slip-ons. They come with the abbreviations of major cities, but I like to believe that they were made just for me with my initials. Just in time for Spring and Summer strolls, here are my favorite picks for comfy but cute sneakers.
