Last year, I showcased one of my favorite color schemes to wear in the dead of Winter: January Blues. So this year, I thought it was only appropriate to update the look for 2019! Again, I looked at one of my favorite designers…Tibi!

A pleated midi skirt and a matching sweater is a ladylike combo that I love to wear to work and off-duty. I especially love the shade of this blue, because of the skirt trends more on a rich teal that pairs well with other jewel tones. The sweater has exaggerated sleeves that makes it more fashion-forward. To complete my look, I added some of my favorite accessories: an oversized rancher hat from Lack of Color and suede sandals from Maje that I picked up in Barcelona.

All of the pieces are linked below!

If you’re like me, then you might think gingham is one of those patterns/prints that is perfect for Summer! I rocked it last year with this top and most recently with this two-piece set. BUT, if you got a new piece for the warmer months, don’t be too hasty packing it away now that it’s Fall!

With a strategically placed jacket or accessories, you can extend the wear of your fav gingham piece for a little longer! That’s the case with me and these cropped pants! In the warmer months, I would wear these with a blousy white shirt and sandals. Now that cooler weather is headed our way, I opted to wear with a black bodysuit, topped off with my leather jacket. For a pop of color and texture, I added my yellow mules that bring the luxe-factor with the velvet.

I think just a couple small details help bring the outfit to life in a different way! What do you dolls think, would you rock your gingham as the seasons start to change?

Leather Jacket: Iro.  Gingham Pants: Topshop.  Turtleneck bodysuit: J.Crew.  Velvet Mules: Loeffler Randall.  Box Bag: Aspinal of London.  Sunglasses: Dior.

Have you ever fallen into a trend that you didn’t know was a trend? OR have you purchased something you just liked/thought was cool and all of a sudden it’s everywhere? Well this happened to me recently when I picked up my cream and black box bag at a second hand boutique in Dublin. I saw the small bag tucked in the very back of a glass case, and I thought the silhouette was interesting enough for me to add to my collection. Well, little did I know that box bags would be everywhere weeks later! I know the trend picked up steam earlier in the year, but I think that the box bag really makes a statement in the Fall season! The shapes, colors, and textures really pop against blazers, coats, and more structured silhouettes.

Don’t have a box bag yet? Don’t fret! I did a roundup of my favorite picks at a variety of price points!
