Do you have some go-to items that you purchase over and over again? I’m talking about the items that you can’t live without and you keep in constant rotation. For me, there are some beauty products that are on my forever list, and that I’ve been using for years. Despite my desire to constantly try new things, I wanted to share the items that I turn to without hesitation. I love these babies without question, and I thought you might too!
Neutrogena Body Oil: I put this on after my nightly shower so my skin feels soft and moisturized. It doesn’t dry greasy and has a faint fragrance that I love. I’ve been using this since middle school, and I’m never without it!
Shu Uemura Hair Oil: Speaking of oil, this item is a fairly recent addition to my regimen and must-have list. This oil cuts my dry-time in half smells amazing and just makes my hair more manageable overall. I can’t live without it!
MAC Brow Set: I’ve been using this since before bold brows were a thing. Naturally a girl with a lot of eyebrow to handle, this keeps my shape in place ALL DAY. P.s. I love the clear, but it also comes in two shades for those who prefer some color.
Penny Talk Nail Polish: A metallic that is also neutral – this nail polish feels stylish yet surprisingly understated at the same time. I love wearing this as my go-to polish for the work-week.
Basic & Neroli Perfume: If you know me, then you know I love to switch up my fragrances. You may also know that I love to wear 2-3 fragrances at the same time. No matter what perfume I’m wearing underneath – I love to layer this Jo Malone scent on top. It feels light and fresh and plays with other scents so nicely.
Amore Pacific Cleanser: This face wash is from one of my favorite beauty brands of all time. I love this cleanser, because it has just the right amount of foaming action, doesn’t try out my skin, and also smells divine.
Well, I told myself I wasn’t going to another bag this year, but I had to break my own rule when I saw this beauty in Ireland.
My Chanel count has risen to 3, but I’m excited because each bag is a unique style and color. My previous Chanel bags were the “Boy” and a “Kelly,” but I always had my eye on the classic silhouette. The “mini” size always appealed to me as cute and functional – just large enough to hold keys, a lipstick, a card case, and phone. That’s all you need right?! In terms of color, I already had a black and white bag, so beige seemed like the next obvious choice. I love that this shade is neutral, but still unique and luxe. Being a classic, I wanted to make sure it was something I wouldn’t tire of, and I would have for years to come!
I’m so excited to share this partnership because it’s a service I use in my everyday life! Recently a co-worker said to me “I feel like I’ve never seen you in the same outfit twice. Where do you get your clothes?” I was so excited to tell her all about Rent The Runway which I use to constantly keep my wardrobe fresh. With #RentTheRunway unlimited, I have access to an endless closet, rotating items in and out whenever I’m ready.
I had previously used RTR for events, but the unlimited program is great for every day and for special occasions. I mostly use it to keep myself styling for work, but I try to keep my orders balanced between office-appropriate and dazzling pieces for nights out on the town. I just picked a work-friendly dress (it came brand new with the tag on), a comfy but chic blazer to wear on my travels abroad, a bright blouse and earrings to match! In the next weeks, I’ll get more fun picks for work AND a gown for a friend’s wedding. My favorite thing about RTR is that I can try trends without feeling pressured to purchase. Neon? A full plaid suit? It’s in my next shipment! This way, I can try trends without a wallet-affecting commitment and see if they are truly for me before I invest in a permanent purchase. In fact, this service has actually curbed my spending! Because I constantly feel like I have new items, I don’t have to shop to scratch my itch for the latest styles.
Lastly, I gain access to designers that would usually be outside my price range. Plus, if there’s an item I can’t live without permanently, I can purchase at a discounted price. Recently, you might have seen me rocking a pair of karate pants from RTR. They would’ve been out of my price range before, but now I can purchase them (discounted of course) because I think they will be a great addition to my wardrobe. If you want to show off your style without breaking the bank, I recommend trying Rent The Runway Unlimited.
